NEWSDESK Australia Under Siege? Perth,
Aust. 25th April. The South African women made the first serious impression on that record--they beat Australia in one match at last year's World Cup, and later in the same tournament the South African men lost to Australia by one run in the match to decide who played in the final. To further add to the threat to their outstanding record, Australia's long-term coach (Mens), Dave Lewis, has retired. New Coach Ross Gregory will be leading his team into his first World Cup campaign--the same team which lost a Test Match to Sri Lanka earlier this year. Perhaps "under siege" is too strong, but this year's World Cup represents the most serious threat yet to Australia's continued domination of the tournament. |
