| As with the Under 19 Boys, the Under 19 Girls is a very difficult one to judge. Using the women's results from previous World Cups as a guide, South Africa and Australia would be favoured to play the final. However, South Africa missed the last World Cup--whether any negative effects of that have filtered down to the Under 19 level is uncertain. |
And as with the Boys, none of these teams know much about each other. Again, the team most able to settle into its normal play will do the best--the relative skill between individuals is not going to differ remarkably overall, but the psyche and attitude of each team might. Therefore, the coaching and support staff will be extremely important. It just may be that the management and support of the team will in the end be the determining factor. |
Don't be surprised to see a New Zealand vs South Africa final . . . but in truth, we wouldn't be willing to place any bet on either of the Under 19 competitions results. |
